Don Cesar Spa Addition

Location: 3400 Gulf Blvd, St. Pete Beach, FL  33706

Size: Three-level, 22,000 sf spa addition to the historic Don Cesar Hotel

Structure: Elevated floor and roof levels are framed with post-tensioned concrete slabs supported by concrete columns.  Exterior walls are infill masonry.  Lateral resisting system consists of cast-in-place concrete shear walls.  Located in a FEMA Zone-V, the building is supported on augercast piles and grade beams with breakaway walls.

Service: HSI Engineering’s president was the Structural Engineer of Record for this project.  Project design while employed at former company.
